On November 28 and 30, the Universidade Europeia, IADE and IPAM in Lisbon and Porto held the Employability Fair 2023, which brought together around 70 companies with professional offers in a wide range of areas, such as Law, Hospitality, Communication, Marketing, Sports, Technology, Tourism, Human Resources, among others. In total, more than 800 students attended the event, which resulted in around 3,000 applications for internships and jobs.
On November 28 and 30, the European University, IADE - Faculty of Design, Technology and Communication and the Portuguese Institute of Marketing Administration (IPAM) in Lisbon and Porto held the Employability Fair 2023, which brought together around 70 companies with professional offers in a wide range of areas, such as Law, Hospitality, Communication, Marketing, Sports, Technology, Tourism, Human Resources, among others. In total, more than 800 students attended the event, which resulted in around 3,000 applications for internships and jobs.
The main aim of this Employability Fair, both in Lisbon and Porto, was to encourage young students to participate and interact with potential employers, with a view to the ultimate goal of entering the job market. It should be remembered that, in 2023, the employability rate for the EU was 97%, for IPAM Lisbon and IADE 96%, and 94% for IPAM Porto.
The Lisbon Employability Fair, which brings together the European University, IADE and IPAM Lisbon, took place on November 28 (from 9.30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Quinta do Bom Nome - Carnide Campus) and brought together a total of 52 companies. IPAM Porto held an Employability Fair on November 30 (from 9.30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at IPAM's premises) with a total of 17 companies offering vacancies in a wide range of sectors.
Auchan Retail Portugal, BNP Paribas, Deloitte, Emma - The Sleep Company, Fidelidade, Grupo Visabeira IKEA, Inditex, L'ORÉAL Portugal, ManpowerGroup, MC Sonae - Modelo and Continente, NTT DATA Portugal, Pestana Hotel Group and SANA Hotels Portugal are just some of the large companies that were present at the Employability Fair.
The aim of this Employability Fair is, in the first instance, to facilitate the transition of students from university to the job market and there is nothing better than having the opportunity to meet companies, understand their cultures and identify opportunities for internships, jobs or even networking for future opportunities.
